Eastern Bank Strengthens Wealth Arm With Senior VP Hire

Boston, MD-based Eastern Bank has appointed William Walsh as senior vice president to lead the bank’s wealth management division. Walsh is a certified financial planner with over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry. He joins Eastern Bank from Wellesley-based Weston Financial Group, where he was a director and planning officer. Additionally, Walsh was a senior vice president at Bank of America/US Trust in Boston between 2001 and 2009, a role in which he managed a team of 14 private client advisors and private client managers serving high net worth clients. Founded in 1818, Eastern Bank has $7.6 billion in assets and more than 90 branches, and operates in communities from the Merrimack Valley to Cape Cod.
